VyOS versions description

Created by Taras Pudiak, Modified on Mon, 26 Aug at 11:15 AM by Taras Pudiak

There are three VyOS versions available:

  1. LTS.
This version is intended to be used in production environments, where stability is important. Also, this is the only version for which support services are available.
  2. Stream.
The version perfectly suits everyone who wants a balance between modern features and reliability. All changes that will be in the next LTS version will first be tested in this version.
  3. Rolling.
For usage by developers, enthusiasts, and those who want to get access to bleeding-edge features. All active development is done here but only verified changes from this version will be accepted to the Stream and LTS later.

Here is a table with a useful comparison of the most important features of all versions.
