What are the hardware requirements?

The smallest amount of RAM that VyOS requires for a normal operation is 1GB. VyOS on machines with less RAM may still work in some cases, but not recommended and may lead to errors.

Minimum 2GB of disk space is required to install the VyOS image and minimum 64 bit CPU is required for running VyOS.
Otherwise, hardware requirements vary greatly between use cases. For small office use, low-end CPUs, 1024MB RAM and 4GB storage should be enough.
For high-performance routers, high-end CPUs and large amounts of RAM are required.
