The traceroute command allows you to trace the path taken to a particular device.

Syntax

vyos@vyos-rtr:~$ traceroute
vyos@vyos-rtr:~$ traceroute
vyos@vyos-rtr:~$ traceroute

When using traceroute with a hostname, you can force it to use either IPv4 or IPv6 by using the following syntax.

vyos@vyos-rtr:~$ traceroute ipv4
vyos@vyos-rtr:~$ traceroute ipv4

or

vyos@vyos-rtr:~$ traceroute ipv6
vyos@vyos-rtr:~$ traceroute ipv6
